Halloween Costumes, Dun Dun Dun.

Halloween is less then two weeks away and you know what that means…

We have to come up with costumes, for those of us who care about Halloween, and for those who don’t…uh, start stretching your stomach for candy while the rest of us slave away at our costumes.

If you’re like me, tall and fat with no money, Halloween is a nightmare and not the good kind.

First of all, Halloween costumes are super short and expose a lot of flesh. I work in an office and that isn’t going to fly. Not to mention those short skirts turn into long shirts when they’re on my body.

Plus they’re itchy, and expensive! $60 bucks for a costume!? No way.

So here are some costume ideas to somewhat good Halloween costume.

(insert blank) Witch

Like spiders? Be a spider witch. Mermaids? Mermaid witch. Pumpkins? Pumpkin witch.

You get the idea. Take whatever you’re into and make it into a witch. Dress in all black, do your makeup in a way people can tell what kind of witch you are, and then go crazy with the accessories. I love altering pieces I already have. I hot glued some spiders on some old earrings and rings, and then hot glued some little LED candles to my witch hat and bing bang boom, a awesome costume. The more effort you put into this costume the better your result is going to be, and any costume that lights up is going to get a better reaction, trust me.

Pull out a tie-dye shirt and pull on a hoodie. Maybe your mother’s old floral dress from the 60’s and a flower crown if you can find it. Plus perhaps a cigaret looking accessory hanging from your lips that shows you’re really putting the groove in groovy would really amp up how cool your costume is. Again, the more effort you put into pulling this costume together, the better it will be.

Lumber Jack

Flannel + jeans + beanie + painted on beard. Extra points if you get a hold of a fake axe.

Follow directions for lumber jack but swap the axe for a toolbox. Or slap on a baseball cap and a coffee cup and you’re Luke from Gilmore Girls.

There are a million tutorials for how to make a ladybug costume on Youtube, pick your favorite and slap on some glitter and hell, you look like you planned this from the start.

These are just a few ideas to get you going this Halloween, anything that you pick will probably be alright as long as you do some sort of effort into it.
